Stainless steel is the usual material for kitchen utensils because of all the advantages it offers compared to other materials.

The utensils made of stainless steel are easier to clean, as this material is very resistant to dirt.

Steel is very resistant to corrosion, it is very resistant to environmental effects, such as air or water.

It is an extremely hygienic material, very resistant and long lasting which makes it ideal for use in the hotel trade.

Besides all this is a perfect material for food use.

It is very important to know how to care for your stainless steel utensils for proper maintenance. Here are some tips for this.

  • Clean frequently to avoid the accumulation of hard and resistant stains.
  • Will not use metal scouring pads or abrasives. It is recommended plastic scouring pads.
  • Wash them with non-abrasive products. Use mild soaps or well understood that your gel is suitable for this material. Use preferably alkaline, chlorinated alkaline or non-chloride cleaners. Products that contain chlorides such as sales or disinfectants or acid products can damage stainless steel.

If the supplied tap water is rich in chloride, it is recommended to treat the water, or install decalcifiers.

To clean the stains more easily we need to apply degreasers. For this type of dirt our decarboniser tanks are an ideal solution. They provide hygiene, disinfection and elimination of bacteria. Working at a constant temperature and together with a DK6 degreasing soap, they end up with the most incrusted dirt in all types of kitchen utensils (filters, trays, pans, pots …).

Follow these tips to ensure that your kitchen utensils are kept in perfect condition to accompany your hospitality career!
